All interns will work directly at one of the three NOW! Financial Company Locations (Cherry Hill, Mount Laurel, Glassboro) where they will be integrated with the professional staff in a small business environment.
Each intern will work individually with a professional mentor, getting hands-on experience with client work! Their professional mentor will teach them everything they need to know as they grow in their professional development.
Yes. All new interns start at the same rate of $9.00 per hour.
The internships are located at one of three locations: Glassboro, Mount Laurel, and Cherry Hill. Interns are matched up at various companies within the NOW! Financial Network which include: Student Working Professionals, Ruotolo Spewak and Company, Visions in Innovative Accounting, Digital Accounting Institute, Someplace Special, and the NOW! Financial Network itself.
Absolutely! SWP encourages interns to value their school education as their top priority. And so, in our internship program interns create their own works schedules to accommodate their classes, exams, and student activities.
We hire interns who are upperclassmen in high school (11th and 12th grade) and college students. For summer internships we hire RISING Juniors and Seniors (meaning students who will be Juniors and Seniors in the Fall). We do not hiring graduating college seniors.
Interns must be able to commit to working a minimum of 10 hours a week to be eligible for an internship. Hours that interns can work are M-F 9AM – 5PM, and for the Winter/Spring internship M-SAT 9AM-5PM.
Applying for an internship with us is like applying for a job. Anyone interested in a business internship with Student Working Professionals must apply online at www.nowfinancialnetwork.com/swp/get-involved/. Applications are then reviewed, and ones that stand out are called in for an in-person interview. If you do well in the interview, and you stand out, then you are ‘hired’ on a trial basis. Meaning, you have to complete 32 hours of unpaid shadowing before being officially hired into the program. Shadowing is where you work with a professional mentor by observing, watching, and learning what they do. If you successfully complete the 32 hours of shadowing you are officially hired and get put on payroll! Not all students who apply will be hired. This is a competitive internship program that receives many applications.
